What is a Dyno?

The Dyno at Max RPM

A "dyno" is a dynomometer, which is used to simulate road conditions while standing still.  The drive wheels rest on a rotating drum, to which resistance can be applied to simulate wind or hills.  This creates a controlled and easy to measure environment for testing torque, horsepower and emissions at varying speeds and conditions.

The test activity is captured and displayed in realtime with an accompanying software program (see below).
